  just in case you do read the post here.

  i want to thank you for giving the silent lambs a voice.. i doubt this will bring the wt to it's knees, but it will make the public aware of the wt policy on molestation, and maybe, just maybe, it will make them change that policy, and in doing so, will protect many other children from having to live through what so many others have in the past.. from the bottom of my heart........thank you.

  Years ago I tried to get the media's attention concerning abuse in the borg. No news media here in Canada wanted to touch it for fear of lawsuits.

  I am very pleased to see that finally one group has been willing to address this issue publically despite any threats of lawsuits (if there have been and I don't know that there is now - only that there were when I tried)

  I suffered for years at the hands of an abusive mother and an abusive husband/elder. I did not get the help I needed from the borg. I know people who have committed suicide because of borg imposed thinking that prevented them from getting the help they needed. I know of many women who stayed in abusive marriages and raised their children in fear due to those same nonsensical teachings. Every victim thinks they are alone.

  If it makes one person realize they are not alone
  If it makes one person stop from joining
  If it makes one person leave
  If it makes one person doubt
  If it makes one person say I won't take this anymore and I'm leaving
  If it makes one person go to the police
  If it makes one person get the help they need

  Then I will be happy

  this was a question asked me by an elderly brother when i first started attending meetings.

  i took it to mean the meetings and said 'well everyone is very kind and friendly'.

  to which he replied 'ha!

  Considering that the WT literature is written for children to understand it does not make sense that the adults cannot understand it.... unless of course it takes so many twists and turns that anyone with a thinking mind would get lost -- opps sorry think that is their "tacking into the wind" theory

  here's what i'm hearing:.

  the dateline show is beating a dead horse brought up by malcontents.. it brings up a dead issue because the society is sending out.

  letters in child abuse cases to go to the police - in individual.

  OK Let's say the borg do change their policy that says from now on report all allegations of abuse... great.

  Will it be followed or will it be like so many of their policies - double standards - one message for the world and another for the r&f

  PLUS - what about all those who have abused previously? Are they going to go through their files and report all PAST allegations? Will they go to the victims and tell them "It's OK now for you to go to the police?"

  Will they go to each one of those accused perverts and tell them to turn themselves in?

  Will they tell the r&f who to watch out for? who to protect their children from?

  Dubs and the coffee break..

  this morning as i was running a few errands with my daughter, i stopped in at a seattle's best coffee shop.

  there were a couple of sisters sitting in the corner pretending they didn't see me.

  after i got my coffee and a cookie for my daughter, a couple more dubs came in, both pretending they didn't recognize me.
